Begin with the guided registration form: add contact details, profession, credentials, languages, profile imagery, and service coverage.
- Credential collection: Upload memberships, registration numbers, and insurance so clients know you are qualified before services unlock.
- Verification timing: Your profile stays pending until the identity check is paid for and confirmed.
- Badge location: The Verified Professional tick appears on your listings and profile once identity and admin checks pass.
- Re-verification: Triggered when core legal or ownership details change or during periodic audits.
Tip: keep your company name, trading address, and invoicing details aligned with your uploaded documents.

2) Identity verification, admin review & listing discovery chevron_right
The mandatory £19.99 Canopy identity check (photo ID + selfie match) runs after you preview your pending profile.
- Canopy result: Passing the Canopy check marks you as identity verified; failing gives a retry option (fee remains non-refundable).
- Admin review: Once ID is cleared, admins verify your credentials and unlock the Services area so you can add offers.
- Discovery: Verified profiles appear in filtered searches (profession, location, languages, verified badge, rating).
3) Messaging inbox chevron_right
- What's included: In-app messaging is text-only. Files should be uploaded in the client’s job request form when they submit a service request.
- Notifications: Email and in-app. Make sure your email is verified and not filtering our domain to spam.
4) Reviews & profile quality chevron_right
- How reviews work: Clients can leave ratings after a completed job or successful move-in/out.
- Reporting issues: Flag factually inaccurate or abusive reviews for moderation.
- Profile tips: Clear services list, coverage area map, before/after photos, and licences/certifications.
5) Billing, VAT & invoices chevron_right
- VAT: Prices shown are inclusive of VAT.
- Charges: One-off £19.99 identity check (non-refundable), then pay-per-job; there is no subscription plan to change.
- Receipts: Download invoices from the My orders page.
6) Payouts (Stripe Connect) chevron_right
- Setup: Connect your bank account via Stripe Connect onboarding (business type, owners, directors if required).
- Payout timing: When the client confirms completion, funds release immediately: 70% to you via Stripe Connect, 20% VAT, 10% platform fee (per Pro Pricing).
- Disputes/chargebacks: Provide clear contracts, messages and proof of delivery/attendance.
We never store full card details; payments are processed by Stripe.

7) Disputes & refunds policy chevron_right
- Referencing/checks: Non-refundable once the check has started (per-applicant service).
- Service disputes: Use in-app messages to resolve first; escalate with evidence (scope, messages, photos, signed docs).
8) Data protection & roles (who is the controller?) chevron_right
For tenant/seller/buyer data you collect, you are usually the data controller. We act as a processor for platform features (messaging, document upload, ID/AML checks). Keep your own privacy notice and retention policy up to date.
- Only request data you actually need for the job.
- Use secure file-sharing (our inbox or encrypted email).
- Delete or archive data when no longer needed.
