Professional onboarding & pricing

Professional registration + credential submission (single form)

Click "Join as Professional," log in (email or Google), and complete one guided form that captures every detail below:

• Registering as: choose Individual or Company; enter a company name when required so your profile displays correctly.
• Profile basics: full name/contact person, readonly email, optional phone for future use.
• Profession: select a curated category (e.g., Conveyancer, Surveyor, Electrician) that unlocks credential options.
• Credentials: pick profession-specific accreditation (type in "Other" if needed), add registration/licence numbers, upload supporting evidence.
• Languages: mark all spoken languages so matching and filters work.
• Base location + coverage: select an area (lat/lng stored for mapping) and choose Nationwide or a travel radius.
• About you: short description shown on your public profile.
• Profile photo/logo: upload a photo or logo with cropping support; this appears on search cards.

Profile starts in “pending identity check.” Credentials are saved as pending and the Services section stays locked until both the ID check and admin review pass. You can still see a private preview.

Paid identity verification (£19.99, non-refundable)

After previewing your profile, you proceed to the identity verification payment page that clearly states:

"This fee covers third-party identity verification costs. Non-refundable whether you pass or fail."

• Pay £19.99 via Stripe to start the third-party photo ID + selfie match.
• Upload a passport, driving licence, or BRP and complete a quick selfie/face-match.
• Canopy (our ID partner) returns a pass or fail. A pass flags your account as “ID verified” and moves you to admin review. A fail lets you retry, but the fee is still non-refundable.

You cannot go live or add services until identity verification passes.

Admin review & approval

Admins look at:

• Registration details and profile preview.
• Identity verification outcome.
• Credentials plus uploaded evidence.

Per credential, admins can Approve (verified), Reject (reason provided), or Request more info (unlock edits). When ID is verified and any required credential is approved (or "No formal accreditation" is marked self-declared), you are marked a Verified Professional.

Create up to three services

Create services that go live instantly:

• Title + description of the services you provide.
• Up to three packages per service with clear deliverables.
• Prices include VAT and delivery timeframes.
• List inclusions/exclusions to manage expectations.

Professional is discoverable

Users search via:

Search cards continue to highlight your photo/logo, profession, verified badges, languages spoken, and starting price including VAT.

User requests a service

From your profile they:

• Pick a service/package and review the price (inc. VAT) and verified credentials summary.
• See deliverables and timeframe before confirming.
• Submit a short job form (address, notes, uploads, preferred timeline).
• Discuss any extra work that sits outside the 3 standard services; once agreed you can add an extra quote for the customer to approve.

Once submitted, you receive the request plus their message in your dashboard.

Payment held securely (Stripe escrow)

The user pays the full amount upfront. Stripe holds the funds securely and marks the job as Paid — held until completion, then the job status moves to in_progress.

Job delivery

You complete the work and mark "Job delivered." The user is notified to review the delivery.

User confirms completion + rating

The user chooses to:

• Confirm completion & release the payment.

Reviews and ratings are collected during this step; if they have questions they can email us so we're aware but we do not highlight any unresolved hold-up here.

Payout + fees

When the user confirms completion:

• 20% goes to VAT.
• 10% covers the platform fee.
• 70% is paid to you instantly via Stripe Connect.

Both sides see a breakdown so the full picture is transparent.

Disputes & resolution

If a dispute is raised:

• Funds stay held until resolved.
• The user provides a reason + evidence.
• You respond with your perspective and outputs.
• Admins release the funds, issue a partial refund, or return everything to the user.
